Polk County Family Caregivers, Inc., a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Florida Corporation, was formed over ten years ago to be an Advocate for all family caregivers through Federal, State, County, and Local representatives and related agencies in Polk County. This advocacy is expressed through educational and informational efforts that aid and encourage family caregivers by providing a coordinated and expert voice in the Polk County community, the State of Florida, and the United States of America. This includes providing access to available caregiver resources, counseling, advocacy, educational conferences, caregiver research, and related activities.
Polk County Family Caregivers, Inc. is affiliated with the National Family Caregivers Association and supports its goals which focus on education, support, empowerment, and advocacy for family caregivers on a national basis.
